SUBMISSION TIMELINE & GUIDELINES

We’re a boutique press and read in batches, so we keep our process small and honest. Please read these guidelines before sending — submissions that follow them get our full attention.

What we accept

• Finished or near-finished manuscripts only (we can’t develop early drafts).
• Cozy and literary fiction, romance, and clear-eyed practical nonfiction.
• One submission at a time. Simultaneous submissions to other publishers are fine — just tell us.

What to send

• A short query: your genre, word count, and a two-paragraph synopsis.
• The first three chapters (or ~25 pages) pasted in the email or as a .docx.
• Manuscript formatted simply: 12pt serif, double-spaced, your name and title in the file name.

If it’s a fit, we’ll ask for the full manuscript.

No-response policy

We read everything, but we can only reply personally to projects we’re taking forward. If you haven’t heard from us within 12 weeks, please consider it a pass — and do keep submitting elsewhere. Your work deserves a home, and sometimes ours just isn’t the right one.

Submission windows

We open for submissions in set windows rather than year-round, so each batch gets real care. Check this page for the current window before sending.

Our timeline

• Acknowledgement — within 2 weeks of receiving your email.
• First read — we review within 8 to 12 weeks.
• Full manuscript — if we ask for the full text, allow another 6 to 8 weeks.
• Decision — if it’s a yes, we’ll discuss terms and next steps.
